Dr. Michelle Braude is a London-based qualified medical doctor and nutritionist with a special interest in sustainable weight management, metabolic health, and long-term wellbeing.

With a background in medicine and nutrition science, Michelle founded The Food Effect nutrition practice, to bridge the gap between evidence-based healthcare and real-life, enjoyable eating. 

Her approach is grounded in science, but always practical, compassionate, and tailored to the individual. Michelle works with clients seeking a calmer, more sustainable relationship with food — without extremes, restriction, or confusion.

With a background in medicine and nutrition science, Michelle founded The Food Effect™ to bridge the gap between evidence-based healthcare and real-life enjoyable eating. She is also a two-time author of The Food Effect Diet and The Food Effect Diet Vegan, with her work previously serialised in The Times newspaper. 

Alongside her work in weight and health optimisation, Michelle specialises in fertility nutrition, supporting clients through pre-conception, fertility treatment (including IVF), PCOS, pregnancy, post-pregnancy, and optimising nutrition ahead of egg freezing. LOSING WEIGHT"

I went to see Michelle primarily because I needed help controlling “some long-standing stomach issues”. Michelle suggested an eating plan that was easy to follow and allowed me to eat much more than I was before, and instead the correct foods for me. Within a week my stomach symptoms were under control and I was losing weight too! In four months I lost just under 18 pounds, and the best part is I no longer take any medication for my stomach which I'd been on for years.
